Remember, the main purpose of the WBCS Preliminary test is to screen candidates for the WBCS Main Examinations and the marks obtained by the successful candidates in the Preliminary examination does not influence in the final selection of candidates.

For success in WBCS one needs only two things, graduate in any discipline and strong determination. For many of those who dream of becoming a WBCS officer , disciplined and targeted hard work coupled with winning edge strategy is what needed to ensure a berth in the final list of successful candidates recommended by the commission.

Effective Strategy

  • One of the common mistakes made by the most of the candidates is to overload themselves with too much irrelevant information and end up remembering only few things.
  • Study accordingly keeping in mind you need to revise all your materials in 2 days before the exam. We at WBCSGURU believe “ Its better to study 10 books thrice rather than studying 30 books once”.
  • Analyse and understand the pattern of questions that WBPSC has been asking for the last 10 years in each subject.
  • Lastly, study smartly as studying hard alone won’t bear fruit.
